地府新任的閻王 (徐鳴杰飾)，努力把地府科技化，有豐功偉績，仍然不被織命殿的老官員裴老 (陳澍城飾) 接受和敬重。因?yàn)榭椕鼛熌苤髟淄短サ墓砘曜鋈艘院?，擁有好命或壞命，故此織命殿在地府地位超越閻王，斂?cái)無數(shù)。
閻王不想織命的絕技被裴老一黨壟斷，于是選中浩良 (謝俊峰飾) 和靜靜 (何盈瑩飾)，進(jìn)入織命殿當(dāng)臥底。浩良是新魂，和30年前因?yàn)榫人赖睦蠋煏增?(周智慧飾) 在地府重逢，二人感情開始升溫。
地府有大危機(jī)，是人類情愿偏愛養(yǎng)寵物，也不生育，地府居民無法投胎做人！地府溫度如果不能保持在安全的零度，就會爆炸。閻王決定讓地府居民，投胎去當(dāng)貓狗！裴老煽動居民抗議，閻王找了陽間的一鳴 (張哲通飾) 下來幫忙，勸服居民答應(yīng)去人間當(dāng)寵物。一鳴為了曾經(jīng)暗戀的靜靜，接下任務(wù)。二人雖然人鬼有別，還是成為情人。
